About Dr. Dominick

Darrick Dominick, DPM, brings his extensive experience to Foot and Ankle Institute of Colorado in Colorado Springs and Monument, Colorado. Dr. Dominick's goal is to get patients back to their sports, daily activities, and work as soon as possible. His approaches include various surgical and conservative treatments to improve both pain and function. He tailors each patient's treatment plan based on their individual goals and needs.

Dr. Dominick was born and raised in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He attended Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated with a degree in Biology. Dr. Dominick also played football while attending W&J. During his junior year football season, he sustained an ankle injury that required multiple surgeries. It was during this time that Dr. Dominick developed an interest in foot and ankle surgery. He went on to attend Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class.

After completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Dominick pursued his surgical residency training at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his time there, he received extensive training in all areas of foot and ankle surgery. He served as Chief Resident during his final year and participated in various research projects. Dr. Dominick's work has been published in the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery on topics such as adult acquired flatfoot and tendon allograft reconstruction.

Following his residency, Dr. Dominick completed a one-year Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the American Foundation of Lower Extremity Surgery & Research in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This program included advanced training in complex deformity correction, arthroscopy, total ankle replacement, sports medicine, and trauma. Dr. Dominick is Board Qualified in Foot and Rearfoot/Ankle Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. 

Dr. Dominick continues to participate in research, surgical workshops, and conferences to provide the best care possible for his patients. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, family, and friends. He is a passionate Pittsburgh sports fan and loves to play golf.
