How To Protect Your Feet And Ankles During Summer Activities

During the warmer summer months, many people increase their activity level, but they also become more prone to injuries.  Going barefoot or wearing sandals can lead to a lack of appropriate support for our feet.  It is then very common for people to develop new pain in their feet or ankles from the lack of support that their feet are getting.

It is also important to make sure you use appropriate hiking boots that provide ankle support when hiking on uneven or rocky ground.  Using old or worn out shoe gear for outdoor exercise is another common reason we see an increase in foot and ankle pain in the summer months.  If you are experiencing foot or ankle pain, we can help!  Call our foot and ankle specialist today at 719-488-4664.
