Dr. Matthew Hinderland Colorado Springs PodiatristDr. Hinderland enjoys helping you decrease your foot and ankle pain, and his primary goal is to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle by maintaining excellent foot and ankle health. 

He grew up in several places across the country including Arizona, California, and Pennsylvania.  He attended Arizona State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology.  He then went on to obtain his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.  Following graduation, he completed a 3 year surgical residency at Highlands/ Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center Podiatric Residency in Denver, Colorado.  After residency he practiced with the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group for several years, where he performed the first ever total ankle replacements within the medical group. 

Dr. Hinderland is Board Certified by the Americian Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.  He has advanced training in ankle replacements, arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma, and deformity correction including Charcot reconstruction.  He has also published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Hinderland loves practicing in Colorado where he trained.  He has been practicing in the Colorado Springs community since 2014.  He is married, and he has 3 sons and 1 daughter.  He and his family love all things in the outdoors.
